"Ya can take the girl outta Brooklyn, but ya can't take Brooklyn outta the girl".

A Native New Yorker, originally from Brooklyn, who, loves country music, and is always up for a day out in nature if not on stage or on set.

Living in New York and learning from the best, Dara led a versatile performing career as a ballerina while making the natural progression to acting.  She danced on the stages of Lincoln Center, City Center, Carnegie Hall, the Academy of Music, in Broadway theaters and throughout the good ole’ USA. At the age of 8 years old Dara had the opportunity to begin her studies at the School of American Ballet, then continued at La Guardia HS of Performing Arts. Professionally she danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet performing everything from the classics to Balanchine and beyond. She has always favored the roles that give her a deep sense of theatricality such as Juliet, where she was first introduced to exploring the depth of a great character. Developing and exploring this character and learning to tap into the essence of her being, ignited a love of acting. These performance experiences catapulted her into the Paul Taylor Dance Company where she expressed freedom of movement and acting with technical excellence. The opportunity to perform in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular brought  voice into the mix which naturally segued to Broadway and eventually Phantom of the Opera. As a cast member of Phantom of the Opera, Dara had the opportunity to perform on Broadway and in the National tour. While on tour, she performed with the company ensemble in cabarets and benefits, as well as teaching master classes throughout the US. When executing the role of Dance Captain, she loves helping actors learn movement through the impetus and motivation of the characters they portray. Today Dara continues her performances on Broadway and enjoys a successful career in commercials, print, television and film.
